actual file size does not match size in .changes
Beh! Looks like it is currently not possible to use debsign from etch to sign packages built in a sid cowbuilder environment.
Update: Adam just pointed out that this was already announced on debian-devel-announce. He proposed to get an updated version of devscripts from etch-backports.
I wonder if we shouldn’t provide a fixed version of devscripts in etch officially, just in case someone who maintains packages actually *erm* uses it.

Well, no… I’m surprised it’s taken you this long to notice, however, given that it was mentioned on d-d-a (albeit in a “misc development news” post).
The devscripts package in etch-backports will Do The Right Thing[tm]

Feel free to try and persuade the SRMs. The issue was raised at the point that devscripts was updated to handle the new formats and the stated opinion was that it didn’t qualify for a stable update.
